What is dermaplaning?
Want to know how to get smooth skin? And googling methods of facial hair removal? Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation of the top layers of the skin. It is a bit like a physical peel of the skin, performed with a surgical scalpel. It only removes a few microns of depth to exfoliate and does not go any deeper than the top layer of the skin (known as the epidermis, it is extremely safe and does not hurt, it just feels a little like firm pressure against the skin. The scalpel blades are laser cut so extremely sharp and straight, as a result, they create minimal surface irritation to the skin and can shave more evenly and consistently to create a much smoother surface. they tend not to irritate the follicles so practically zero risk of folliculitis or reaction in the pores. Dermaplaning is more to aid exfoliation of the skin. sterile blade is stroked along the skin at an angle to gently “shave off” dead skin cells from the epidermis. Dermaplaning also temporarily removes the fine vellus hair of the face leaving a very smooth surface, as with any type of exfoliation, the removal of dead skin cells allows home care products to be more effective, reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone and assists in reducing milia, and minor breakouts associated with congested pores Since dermaplaning exfoliates the debris from the surface of the skin, it can help unblock pores and allow other treatments to be more effective in acne as they can penetrate the skin more easily.
